Anthony founded MyHotZone in 2002 with his brother Niall in order to take advantage of the nascent WiFi Hotspot industry. Anthony graduated BA with Honours in Agriculture from University of Reading in the UK. After leaving University he began his career with Standard Bank Zimbabwe, developing their Agricultural management software in the early nineties. He went on to form the first fully digital recording studio in Southern Africa. He is also on the Boards of various other companies in the UK Telecoms sector.
M.Inst.Eng/Tech, M.I.E.E., Richard has an intimate knowledge of fibre and wireless networking systems. Other areas of expertise include covert surveillance systems, Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems and VOIP networks. He has worked on many large projects for such diverse clients as British Airways, the U.K. Ministry of Defence and several leading international Banks, over a period of many years.
Niall founded MyHotZone in 2002 with Anthony. He graduated BA with Honours in Combined Studies in Business and Social Science from the University of Durham in the UK. He has become an expert in wide area networking over the past 15 years. He is the driving force behind business development in Southern Africa.
Claudiu is our software expert. He has countless qualifications in programming and project management and is an expert in Linux which is the base of most of our products. He has been in charge of many software projects and has upgraded communications systems for high profile companies like Coca-Cola. Claudiu has been with MyHotZone since its inception and was the main programmer/developer of MyHotZone's Radius Authentication platform.
Norman was educated at St. Vincent High School in Zimbabwe and later trained as an Electronics Technician qualifying as a Class 1 Journeyman in 2003. He then went on to study Micro Computer Technology specialising in Core Hardware. Norman worked as a Technical Consultant for AccTech Systems Zimbabwe before going on to start his own IT hardware and software support company, Pedigree Technologies in 2007. Norman joined MyHotZone in 2012 and co-ordinates expansion in Africa.
Kevin Was educated at St John's College and Cape Town University going on to further his studies at Reading University in the UK. He is highly qualified in Networking and Telecommunications systems. He joined MyHotZone in 2006 helping to grow it into the business it is today and is in charge of all UK operations.
Siza was educated at Cranborne Boys High School in Harare Zimbabwe and holds City and Guilds of London certificates in Micro Computer Technology and Data Communications and Networking. Siza also holds a Diploma in Netowrking from Delmi College and a Diploma in Linux Network Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. Siza has previously worked at Integrated Spacial Resources in Zimbabwe, and Avatell Services and Multinom Business services in Gabarone, Botswana. Prior to joining MyHotZone, Siza worked at Telecontract (Telco Internet) in Harare where he was responsible for network hardware configuration and structured and fibre optic network installation, testing and termination. Siza is now in the MyHotZone Africa Installations team and is responsible for installations and network maintenance.
Maureen studied at Regina Mundi Convent in Gweru, and Midlands State University in Zimbabwe where she gained BSc (Hons) in Information Systems. Before joining MyHotZone she has worked in the Miistry of Education, Rangemore Computer Systems and CFX Bank in various roles from network support and administration to hardware and software installation, fault diagnosis and repair. Maureen is now a networks engineer with MyHotZone specialising in wide area network management, support and network maintenance.
Tinashe was educated at Regina Mundi Convent in Gweru and Midlands State University in Zimbabwe where she gained a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems. She has also completed CISCO certified IT Essentials programme at the University of Zimbabwe and is currently studying for her Masters in Business Administration at the same university. She has previously worked at Old Mutual and Natfresh in network audit, planning and administration roles. Tinashe is a member of the MyHotZone networks team specialising in Wide area network management, support and network maintenance.
Attended University of Algiers and University of Zimbabwe. Joined MyHotZone in 2012. Maurice, who speaks English and French, has been involved in award-winning projects with the University of Zimbabwe and co-founded the University of Zimbabwe Computer Society. Substantial experience designing, planning and implementing Wireless Network Solutions and possesses comprehensive knowledge of Mikrotik, ubiquity and Unifi networking technologies and protocols.
Ranga joined the company in 2013 and is one of our valued installations and networking technicians.
Grier was educated at kwekwe High School in kwekwe and Midlands State University where he gained a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems .He has previously worked at the Victoria Falls Hotel as System Analyst and hold contracts with Africansun group of Hotels for Victoria Falls area Business Information Systems Administrator. Grier is now a networks engineer with MyHotZone and is reponsible for upkeep of the MyHotZone Networks and VOIP deployment at our venues in Victoria Falls.
